PICKLED BEANS 
4 qt. beans, yellow or green
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. allspice
1 tbsp. whole cloves
6 c. vinegar
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 stick cinnamon

Cook whole beans in salted water. Drain and pack in hot sterilized jars. Combine remaining ingredients, heat to boiling and pour over beans. Seal tightly. Makes 8 pints.
