1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 whole egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
2 c. finely cut apples
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. pecan meats

Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg and beat well. To flour, add soda, cinnamon and salt. Sift together. Add apples alternately with flour mixture. Beat well. Stir in raisins and pecan meats.

Bake 45 minutes in 300°F to 325°F oven in 9 x 9 pan.
