1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
2 3/4 c. flour
2 eggs
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix sugar, butter, shortening and eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoon, into balls. Mix 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon together and roll balls into mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
