RHUBARB DUMPLINGS 
6 c. rhubarb, cut up
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar

Cook rhubarb, sugar, water and raisins into a sauce. While sauce is cooking, make dumplings by beating egg until light and add milk. Add dry ingredients to egg and milk, stirring in quickly. Drop by teaspoon into the rhubarb sauce. Cook slowly for 5 minutes (tightly covered), turning heating down low.
