OLD FASHIONED DUMPLINGS | |
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. chicken broth 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 2 qt. broth or soup Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add 1/2 cup chicken broth and oil, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out on a floured surface and form into a ball. Roll dough to a 1/16 inch thickness; cut in strips. Drop dumplings into boiling broth; cover and cook 15 minutes or until dumplings are tender. 8 servings. Cooked chicken may be added to broth if desired. |
