TURTLE CAKE 
1 German chocolate cake mix
1 c. water
1/2 c. oil
1 stick butter
3 eggs
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
8 oz. Kraft caramels
1 c. chopped nuts

Before mixing the cake, melt the caramels with 1/2 can Eagle Brand and add pecans. Keep this warm. Mix first 5 ingredients and other 1/2 can of Eagle Brand. Pour 1/2 of cake batter in greased and floured 9 x 3 inch pan. Bake only 15 minutes in 350 degree oven. Remove from oven and pour caramel mixture over cake. Next pour the other 1/2 of cake mixture over cake. Bake for 30 more minutes.

ICING:

4 tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c. milk
1 box powdered sugar

Bring cocoa, butter, and milk to boil. Pour over powdered sugar. Beat until smooth, add nuts. Spread on warm cake.
