ONE - DISH SUPPER | |
1 (7 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni (2 c. uncooked) 1 (1 lb.) pkg. mixed frozen vegetables 1 lb. ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup 1 c. milk 1 1/2 c. grated American cheese 1 tsp. salt (or seasoned salt) 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. buttered bread crumbs or crushed potato chips Prepare macaroni according to package directions. Drain. Rinse frozen vegetables under cold water until almost thawed. Brown ground beef and onion; drain off fat. Add soup, milk, cheese, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low heat 5 minutes. Combine the macaroni, vegetables, and ground beef mixture. Pour into 3 quart baking dish. Top with bread crumbs. Bake in 350 degree oven 20-30 minutes. 6-8 servings. |
