KETCHUP RECIPE 
1 peck ripe tomatoes
1 sweet pepper, remove seeds
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. ground mustard
6 onions
2 tbsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. each ginger, cinnamon, allspice

Cut up tomatoes and cook until tender. Put through sieve. Cook onions and pepper put through sieve. Add tomatoes, onions, pepper, sugar, salt, mustard, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, and allspice. Boil until thick as white gravy. This is a recipe from Granny's collection. She was well noted for her cornbread, but she didn't use a recipe. No one could ever make it quite like she could.
