SPAGHETTI WITH CLAM SAUCE 
1/4 c. olive oil
1/2 c. butter
6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 c. finely chopped parsley
1 tbsp. sweet basil
Parmesan cheese to taste
Pinch of red pepper
Pinch of black pepper
2 cans minced clams

Warm olive oil in a saucepan. Add butter and simmer until melted. Add garlic, parsley, sweet basil, cheese and pepper. Bring to a boil. Add clams and liquid. Bring to boil again. Serve over spaghetti. Serves 4.

To make red clam sauce, add one cup tomato sauce when adding clams.

When served with salad, French bread and white wine, it's a quick but impressive dinner!
