OATMEAL PIE 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. dark corn syrup
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. cooking rolled oats
1 unbaked pie shell

Cream together butter and sugar. Add cinnamon and salt. Stir in syrup and eggs, one at a time, stirring after each addition until blended. Stir in rolled oats. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until knife comes out clean. During baking, the oatmeal forms a chewy (nutty) crust on top.
