2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
Bring to a boil, then cool to lukewarm. Dissolve 1 package yeast in 1/2 cup water and 1 tablespoon sugar. Add to boiled mixture. Then add 2 beaten eggs and 2 teaspoons salt. Add flour to right consistency and knead 5 minutes.
Start these late afternoon. When dough doubles, knead it down. Just before going to bed form into rolls or buns and place on greased sheets or pans. Cover lightly with dish towels and let rise overnight. Bake in the morning at 350 degrees, about 8 to 10 minutes.
