ALASKAN LOGS
3/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts
3 well beaten eggs
Powdered sugar

Combine flour, sugar and baking powder. Add eggs then dates and nuts. Put mixture into greased 8x8 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes until nicely browned. Cool until warm to the touch - about 30 minutes. Cut into 1/2 x 2 inch pieces.

With hand, roll and squeeze into log shape. Immediately roll in powdered sugar. Store in airtight container.

(After baking and cutting, cake must be very warm - hot to be able to shape.)
