CHOCOLATE BREAD 
4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 lb. butter, softened
3 eggs
1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1/4 c. chopped walnuts
2 tbsp. blanched, sliced almonds
2 egg whites, beaten stiff

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter and flour 5 x 9 inch loaf pan. Set aside.

Melt chocolate. Add sugar and butter. Mix well with whisk. Add whole eggs, one at a time, whisking well between additions. Sift flour over batter and mix in. Stir in nuts and fold in egg whites. Transfer to loaf pan. Rap bottom to settle batter. Bake 40 minutes (350 degrees) or until done. Cool slightly in pan and unmold to finish cooling. Great midnight snack!
