CREAMY POTATO SOUP 
5 c. raw, diced potatoes
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 1/2 c. water
3 c. potato cooking liquid & milk
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. salt
Pepper as desired
Paprika or chopped parsley

Cook potatoes and onions in water in a covered saucepan until potatoes are tender. Add milk and water to make three cups. Add butter. Simmer. Add garnish of paprika or parsley. If thickening is desired, use 1/4 cup flour stirred into 1/2 cup milk then slowly add to soup.
