LIME PICKLES 
7 lb. med. cucumbers
2 c. air slake lime
2 gallons water
2 qt. vinegar
8 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. whole pickling spice

Slice cucumbers 1/2 inch thick. Let stand 24 hours in 2 gallons water with 2 cups lime. Drain and wash well.

Let stand 4 hours in cold water. Drain, cover with vinegar, sugar, salt, celery seed, and spice. Let stand overnight. Simmer 35 minutes. Seal in jars.
