THE SMITHS MEXICAN SPANISH RICE | |
2 tsp. shortening 1 garlic clove 2 c. brown rice 1 tbsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. camino powder 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz.) 3 c. boiling water Boil rice as directed until done. Fry shortening, garlic clove, chili powder and camino powder. Once mixed together to a paste, turn off heat and add to your rice. Also add your 8 oz. can of tomato sauce. Cook on low for one hour. |
