2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 lb. butter
1/3 c. peanut butter
2 c. quick oats
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. nuts, chopped (optional)

Mix sugar, cocoa, butter and milk in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Boil 2 to 3 minutes on medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add peanut butter, oats, vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Set pan in cool water and stir for two minutes. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper. Cool and serve. Makes 32 cookies.
