SAUSAGE BREAD | |
1/2 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 lb. sausage 1/4 c. green pepper, diced 1/4 c. celery, diced 1 lg. onion, diced 1 hot pepper, diced (optional) 1/4 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed Brown all ingredients except cheese and bread. Drain well. Put 2 teaspoons oil on cookie sheet. Pat out bread to cover entire pan. When meat mixture has cooled a bit; make a mound lengthwise on the dough. Make ditch the center length of meat mixture; fill with cheese. Bring sides of dough up and seal; be sure meat and cheese are covered. Seal. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brown at 350 degrees. |
