CHOCOLATE CRUNCH COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. M & M's plain chocolate candies
1/2 c. chopped nuts, if desired

Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, blend eggs with vanilla. Add dry ingredients, mix well. Add candies and nuts. Mix well.

Drop by rounded teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately press about 3 additional candies firmly on each cookie. Cool, makes about 5 dozen cookies.
