MOM'S COBBLER | |
6 lg. peaches, sliced or may use blackberries 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. water 1 stick butter 1 lg. (10) can Hungry Jack Biscuits Put peaches, butter, sugar and water in large black skillet on top of stove and simmer for 20 minutes. While simmering (low boil) open biscuits and pinch off pieces (10 to a biscuit) and put on top of peaches in a circle until you use all of biscuits. Have oven at 375 degrees and bake until brown of top about 15 to 20 minutes. I put 1/4 cup of sugar on top of biscuits before putting in oven and that makes it pretty. Let set and all the juice will absorb into the biscuit. |
