SOUR CREAM BANANA CAKE 
2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. slat
2 eggs
1 c. ripe mashed bananas
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream

Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt into bowl. Cream butter and sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients, then bananas and nuts, just until blended. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 x 2 pan and bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

BROILED COCONUT FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. light cream
3/4 c. lightly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. flaked coconut (or 1/2 c. coconut and 1/4 c. nuts)

Melt butter, add brown sugar, cream and coconut and spread over warm cake. Broil until coconut is browned. Cool slightly before cutting.
