CRANBERRY SQUARES 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. shortening
1 well beaten egg
1 (8 oz.) can whole berry cranberry sauce
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. orange juice

Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Stir in orange juice, shortening and egg. Mix until well blended. Carefully fold in cranberries and nuts. Turn into a greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Mix together topping until crumbly; then sprinkle on top of butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve warm.

TOPPING:

1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
