CRANBERRY FRUIT - NUT BREAD 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
3/4 c. orange juice
1 tsp. grated orange rind (add if desired)
1 c. cranberries, chopped
1/2 c. nuts

Combine first 5 ingredients, then cut in shortening; add egg and orange juice; stir now to moisten. Add cranberries and nuts. First stirring enough to mix. Pour into loaf pan or 2 coffee cans. Bake at 350 degrees until done, around 1 hour.
