CORN-FRANK CHOWDER 
3 slices of bacon, chopped
5 frankfurters, sliced
1 med. onion, chopped
4 med. potatoes, diced
1 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. basil
1 lb. can cream style corn
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk

Cook bacon on HIGH in microwave; add franks and onion. Cook on HIGH 4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Add potatoes and water; cover and cook on HIGH 12 minutes, turning dish halfway through cooking. Add remaining ingredients and heat to serving temperature (4 minutes). Do not boil. Serves 6. Freezes well.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
