SPICY PEARS AND ORANGES 
1 (16 oz.) can whole berry cranberry sauce
1/3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
6 med. pears, peeled & sliced
2 oranges, peeled & sectioned

Combine first 5 ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring often; remove from heat.

Combine pears and oranges in a 2 1/2 quart casserole; pour cranberry mixture over fruit. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until pears are tender. Serve warm with a slotted spoon. Yield: 8 servings.
