BANANA SPLIT CAKE 
3 sticks butter
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese or 2 eggs
5-7 bananas
1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 c. chopped nuts
1 lg. carton Cool Whip
1 sm. bottle cherries
Fresh strawberries (opt.)

Blend 1 stick butter with 2 cups graham cracker crumbs. Line bottom of 9"x13"x2" pan with this crust.

Beat 2 sticks butter, sugar and cream cheese (or eggs) for 15 minutes. Spread over graham cracker crust and slice bananas over that. Then spread pineapple over bananas (if desired, a layer of fresh strawberries may be put over the pineapple). Top with Cool Whip, then nuts.

Chill in refrigerator at least 2 hours before serving (preferably overnight). When ready to serve, cut in squares and top each square with a cherry.
