BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES (ICE BOX) 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
Nuts or dates (opt.)

Mix and mold in long roll and let stand overnight in refrigerator. Slice and bake at 350 degrees.
