SCOTCH SCONES 
2 c. flour
2/3 c. currants
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. milk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. oil
1 egg, slightly beaten

Mix all ingredients together until dough is not sticky. Divide dough in half. Pat each half into 6 to 7 inch circle. Cut into 6 or 8 pieces. Brush lightly with milk and sprinkle each piece with sugar. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until edges are lightly browned, about 15 to 20 minutes.
