CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES 
8 oz. cream cheese
2 1/2 tbsp. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 lg. jar maraschino cherries
1 1/2 tbsp. chocolate

Drain cherries for 10 minutes before covering with above mixture.

Mix cream cheese, sugar, and flavoring until soft. Roll into round pieces large enough to cover cherry. Dip into well melted chocolate. Place on waxed paper pan to set. After firm enough to touch, retouch bottom in order for all areas to be covered. Make about 10 days before using. yields 50-60 cherries. Wrap in foil or candy paper cups and place in container.
