CRESCENT COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add water and vanilla. Mix in flour, then add nuts. Shape into crescents and place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes until edges are brown. When cool, roll in confectionery sugar. Yield: about 3 dozen.
