TAMALE PIE 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 lg. chopped onion
1 (#2 1/2) can tomatoes
1 (#2) can whole kernel corn
1 tbsp. chili powder
4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 lg. can ripe olive pieces
1 c. American cheese, grated

Brown beef in frypan. When meat is almost cooked, add chopped onion. Cook until onion is almost transparent. Add tomatoes, corn, chili powder and salt. Heat to boiling.

Slowly stir in 3/4 cup cornmeal. Cook over low heat 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour into casserole pan. Add olives on top; sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
