SWEET AND SOUR SALAD 
1 head cabbage (shred, salt and let stand 1 hour)
2 carrots
1 onion
1/2 green pepper

Shred or chop additional vegetables.

SYRUP:

1 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. salad oil
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt, celery seed and mustard seed

Boil and pour over vegetables. Refrigerate. Good for 3 weeks if it lasts that long.
