SCOTTIE'S SHORTBREAD 
2 sticks lightly salted butter
2 sticks Parkay
1 c. sugar
4 c. all purpose Gold Medal flour

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and Parkay. Add sugar and beat again. Add flour 1 cup at a time. Mix thoroughly. Pour into jelly roll pan. Flatten with hands (will be very sticky). Prick with fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Open door. Turn pan around. Lower heat to 325 degrees. Bake 20 to 25 minutes more. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Cut into 1" squares.

OPTIONAL CARAMEL TOPPING:

1 can condensed milk
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. syrup
4 oz. butter
