HUSHPUPPIES 
1 egg
1 c. milk
1 1/4 c. plain cornmeal
3/4 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
Salt to taste
Finely chopped green onions, to taste

Beat egg and add milk. Add remaining ingredients and stir well. Drop by ice teaspoons into deep boiling fat. Remove when golden brown and drain well before serving.
