MINCE MEAT PIE 
3 lb. lean beef
1 lb. suet (optional)
1 c. beef broth
5 lb. apples
1 1/2 lb. raisins
1 1/2 lb. currants
1 c. sweet cider
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt (optional)
2 lb. sugar

Cook beef without salt. Save broth. Grind beef and suet. Peel and chop apples. Mix all ingredients. Alter any item which does not appeal to your taste. Prepare pie crusts. This recipe makes several pies. Mince meat freezes well. Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 45 minutes. Serve warm. Heats well in microwave.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
