FIG PRESERVES 
3 c. fresh figs
3 c. sugar
2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin

Mash, grind, or run figs through a food mill. Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until thick. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal. Raspberry, blackberry, or boysenberry gelatin may also be used.
