MAPLE SWEET ROLLS
1 c. scalded milk
1/2 stick butter, melted
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
2 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. water
3 1/3 c. flour

Beat 1/2-3/4 cup flour with yeast and water. Add milk, butter, sugar, salt and egg. Let stand until cool. Add remaining flour; knead and let rise once. Divide dough into 3 portions.

FILLING:

1 stick butter
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. maple flavoring
2 tsp. cinnamon

Combine all filling ingredients. Work 1 portion of dough out flat on a buttered round pizza pan. Spread half of the filling mixture on the top. Add a second portion of dough and pat flat, adding remaining mix on top, following another layer of dough.

Place a small glass in the middle of dough, cutting dough into 16 wedges up to the glass. Twist the wedges 4 or 5 times. Remove the glass. Bake immediately 25 minutes in 350 degree oven.

For glaze, combine 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon maple flavoring, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, and just enough milk to make creamy.
