BREAD AND CHICKEN CASSEROLE | |
6 slices bread 1 can peas 2 tbsp. milk 2 tbsp. bread crumbs 1 sm. can mushrooms 1 tbsp. butter 1 stalk celery, chopped 1/2 med. onion, chopped 1 can cream of chicken soup 2 cooked chicken breasts 1/2 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded Toast and cube the bread, fry in skillet in butter with the onion and celery until tender. Add mushrooms, peas, cooked diced chicken. Stir in a can of soup mixed with 2 tablespoons milk. Toss until coated. Place in greased casserole and top with 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese and 2 tablespoons bread crumbs. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake additional 15 minutes. |
