BASIC SWEET DOUGH
8 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. active dry yeast
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. salt

Combine in a large bowl 2 cups flour, sugar, salt, and undissolved yeast. Heat milk, water, and butter over low heat until warm. Gradually add to flour mixture and beat with electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes. Beat in eggs. Gradually add 3 cups flour and beat 2 minutes at medium speed or until soft dough is formed. Beat in remaining 3 cups of flour with a wooden spoon.

Knead until smooth and elastic on lightly floured surface. Place in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in bulk. Punch down. Roll into your favorite recipe. Makes excellent cinnamon rolls or nut rolls. Makes a large amount.
