1 1/2 c. Brazil nuts 1 1/2 c. walnuts or pecans 8 oz. dates 1/2 c. each red & green cherries 1/2 c. raisins Mix above in large bowl and add 3/4 cup flour. ix: 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 3 eggs, beaten 1 tsp. vanilla Pour over nuts and fruit mixture. Pour into 3 small loaf pans. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Soak a thin cloth in orange juice and wrap around cake, then in foil and age for 1 month. Remove wrapping. Wrap in fresh foil and store in freezer. Cut while frozen. |
