CHOCOLATE CHIP FUDGE CAKE 
6 oz. butter
6 eggs
3 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour

Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate over low heat and cool to lukewarm. In a large mixing bowl beat eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla together just to combine. Blend in the butter-chocolate mixture. Stir in flour and chocolate chips, blending well.

Pour into 2 (9-inch) round, greased cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

CHOCOLATE FROSTING:

4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. butter
3 c. sifted confectioners sugar
Dash salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 to 2/3 c. evaporated milk

Melt the chocolate and butter over hot water. Sift the sugar and salt together and add the vanilla and chocolate mixture. Add enough milk to make spreading consistency.
