BAKED CHEESE OMELET 
16 slices bread, sandwich style
6 eggs
1 qt. milk
1/2 lb. Cheddar or Old English cheese, shredded
Butter
1 tsp. salt

Remove crusts from bread. Butter generously on one side. Place in 9 x 13 inch pan, 8 slices buttered side down.

Beat milk, eggs and salt. Pour over bread side up. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Crumble bacon on top if desired.
