Made this for dinner yesterday and I was very pleased. I do suggest that you sear your roast first before putting in crockpot. Luckily for me, my roast browned in the crockpot b/c there wasn't alot of liquid. And be careful not to add alot of salt. The beef cubes are salty as it is. Plan on making this again. Thanx for the recipe.

Okay, I forgot to rate this recipe in my first post so I'm rating it now. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Nobody ever taught me how to make a pot roast like this. I made this again not too long ago, but a little different. Seasoned the roast, seared it without flour, then put in crockpot. I used a little more beef broth than the recipe called for. It didn't have that 'seasoned' taste, but everybody still loved it. There were no leftovers. There's not much of this recipe you have to change. May just be 'The Perfect Pot Roast'. Just my opinion.

I'm making this recipe yet again today. In my first post I stated that you should brown the roast first, but I haven't the last 3-4 times I made it and it was very delish and browned enough, so I can eliminate the searing part. So much better, quicker, and easier. Oh, yeah baby.

I seared this on the stove then placed it in the oven at 350°F. It came out just as delish!
