APPLE OR PRUNE CAKE 
Mix thoroughly:

4 c. diced fresh apples or Italian prunes
2 c. sugar

Add:

1/2 c. Wesson oil
1 c. chopped nuts
2 eggs, well beaten

Sift together and add:

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt

Pour into a greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Optional: Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar with nuts and spread on cake before cooking.
