MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 to 4 qts. popped corn

Combine first 4 ingredients in a 1 1/2 to 2 quart bowl or baking dish. Place in microwave and cook until boiling. Once it starts to boil, cook on High power for another 2 minutes. Remove from microwave and stir in soda (will be foamy). Place popped corn in brown paper sack. Pour syrup over corn. Close bag and shake well. Cook in bag on High powder for 1 1/2 minutes. Remove, shake bag well and cook on High powder for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake; for most microwaves you will need to cook on High power for another 1 1/2 minutes. Pour out onto waxed paper and cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
