LIME PICKLES 
2 c. pickling lime
2 gal. water
2 gal. sliced cucumbers
2 qts. vinegar
4 1/2 lbs. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. pickling spice

Let cucumbers set in lime water 24 hours. Rinse in cold water until water is clear. Let stand in cold water for 3 hours. Soak cucumbers in vinegar, sugar, salt and pickling salt overnight and then cook 35 minutes and can.
