OLD FASHIONED POUND CAKE 
1 lb. butter (real)
3 1/4 c. sugar
10 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
4 c. plain flour

Beat butter until creamy then add sugar. Beat until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend until creamy. Add flour, salt and vanilla, small portions. Blend until smooth and creamy. Bake 1 hour at 275 degrees. Bake 2nd hour at 300 degrees. Use large tube pan. This makes a lot of batter. If you don't have 1 large tube pan, use 2 smaller ones.
