TUNA PIZZA SQUARES
Shortening
1 (10 oz.) pkg. refrigerated pizza dough
1 (6 1/2-7 oz.) can tuna
1 (8 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (8 oz.) can pizza sauce
1 (2 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms
1 (2.8 oz.) can French fried onions

1. Turn the oven to 425 degrees. Put a little shortening on a piece of paper towel or waxed paper. Spread the shortening over the bottom of the baking pan to grease it.

2. Unroll the pizza dough. Press the dough into the greased pan. Press the edges against the side of the pan to make a rim.

3. Place the colander over the mixing bowl. Empty the tuna into the colander, letting the liquid run into the bowl. Throw the liquid away. Save the tuna until Step 5.

4. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the crust. With the back of the small spoon, spread the pizza sauce over the layer of cheese.

5. Arrange the tuna over the sauce. Drain the mushrooms in the colander the same way you drained the tuna. Arrange the mushrooms over the tuna. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.

6. Put the pan in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes. With hot pans, remove the pan from the oven. Sprinkle French fried onions on top. Return the pan to the oven. Bake for 3-5 minutes more or until the crust is brown. Remove the pan from the oven. Turn off the oven.

With the table knife, cut the pizza into squares. With the pancake turner, lift squares from pan. Makes 4 servings.
