BSF TOFFEE BARS | |
2 pkg. graham crackers 1 stick butter 1 stick butter 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional) Line an average sized cookie sheet with foil, covering the sides as well. Lay the graham crackers on the bottom of the cookie sheet. In a saucepan melt butter and butter, stir in 1/2 cup of sugar. Bring this mixture to a boil; boil for EXACTLY 3 minutes. Pour over the graham crackers in pan; place in oven at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Should be bubbly and slightly browned. Immediately sprinkle with chips; spread through lightly with a knife. Replace in oven just to melt the chips. Finely chopped pecans could be added at this time. Let the cookies cool completely. Then just take them out of the pan by breaking them into serving size pieces (1/2 cracker). These will taste similar to a Heath bar - yummy and easy. |
