MRS. A'S GREEN BEANS 
3 c. green beans, cut up
1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
1 sm. can mushrooms (opt.)
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 oz. cheddar cheese, crumbled (1 c.)

Cook green beans, covered, in a small amount of boiling salted water for 25 minutes, or until tender. Drain. In small saucepan, blend together sour cream and flour. Stir in milk, onion, sugar, salt and dash of pepper. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture bubbles. Add cheese; stir until melted. Pour mixture over hot, drained green beans. Toss to coat.
